
Hotel Group Launches Brand In Germany



The Fairmont Monte Carlo was named Best Overseas Hotel at the M&IT Industry Award 2011 for the second consecutive year after having completed a 46M Euro refurbishment, and is now aiming to get this recognition again at the forthcoming M&IT Industry Award 2012.


4* Scandic Syhavnen, which is 10 minutes from Copenhagen Airport and even closer to the centre of Copenhagen, has recently expanded with all-new conference facilities. Today, the hotel offers meeting venues for 1-400 persons, all with the latest in technical equipment and interior design. Meanwhile, Scandic Sydhavnen has also expanded the number of its rooms to 391, and opened a new fitness area on its top floor, with a jacuzzi and panoramic views over Copenhagen. Scandic is a Nordic chain with nine hotels in Copenhagen. As early as 1993, Scandic began developing what has become the industry’s leading sustainability programme. The chain aims to be CO2-neutral in 2025.


By the end of the year the Mövenpick Lausanne in Switzerland will open its New Wing including 72 superior rooms and 3 meeting rooms, making the property the largest 4 star superior hotel in the Romandie area and the 3rd largest of Switzerland. With 337 hotel rooms and 18 seminar rooms, the hotel will cater for all kind of requests, from corporate meetings to huge events, including outside catering for up to 1000 participants.



Crowne Plaza Dead Sea Resort & Spa is set to open in May 2012. The 5* property will offer 420 rooms and 1,200m2 of event space.

The Peninsula Paris will open in 2013. It will represent the first time the chain has unveiled a property in Europe and is expected to mirror the old-world style and refined service of its nine existing hotels across Asia and the USA. The property will sit close to the Champs Elysees and Arc De Triomphe.
