New Gastronomic Space in Madrid

La Quinta del Jarama, a unique venue located just 10 minutes from Madrid, has opened a new gastronomic space, The Living Room.

This space is ideal for presentations, meetings, show cooking activities or tastings. This is a friendly space designed by Natalia Casco de Kuboene that combines technology and latest trends in decoration, as well as a very creative gastronomic proposal.

La Quinta de Jarama is a space designed to accommodate singular events. it spreads out over 15.000m2, consisting of a 4,000m2 construction and gardens designed in a Spanish-Arabic style. The venue can accommodate meetings from 30 people to up to 1,000 seated guests.

Marriott plans to open more than 1,700 hotels by 2021

Marriott International has announced plans to open more than 1,700 hotels around the world by 2021 as part of its three-year growth plan.

The hotel group plans to add between 275,000 and 295,000 rooms by 2021, supported by the strength of its record 478,000-room pipeline, including roughly 214,000 rooms already under construction. Marriott have said its new room openings during this period could contribute $400m (£303m) in fee revenue in 2021.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Moscow now open to guests

Radisson Hotel Group have announced the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Moscow. the venue boasts the ideal city center location, with Red Square, St Basil’s Cathedral and The Kremlin all within easy reach. 

The hotel found on the bend of the Moskva River, was formerly the tallest in Europe and the property itself is one of the capital’s ‘Seven Sisters’, a family of renowned neoclassical skyscrapers. It remains an imposing presence on Moscow’s skyline offering spectacular views of the capital. From the impressive, palatial exterior to the luxurious interior (featuring 501 stunning guest rooms and suites), the hotel is truly a Moscow landmark. 

The hotel features Moscow’s most exceptional sky bar, the Mercedes Bar on the 31st-floor, 19 restaurants and bars and exceptional meetings and events facilities, as well as Moscow’s largest Congress Park (with the capacity for over 1,500 people). Each of the 16 business spaces are equipped with the latest multimedia technology, while the interior design reflects the hotel’s characteristic grandeur.

Autograph Collection to open in Paris with Hotel Banke

Autograph Collection has revealed the latest addition to its portfolio, Hotel Banke, marking the brand’s entry to Paris and becomes the fourth property in France. Located in the heart of the Parisian Opera district, Hotel Banke occupies the former headquarters of Crédit Commercial de France.

The venue has an elegant feel throughout its 91 guest rooms and suites, with original features seamlessly blending with contemporary design touches, such as statement modern furniture and rich soft furnishings.

The hotel will join the portfolio of one-of-a-kind properties around the world that champion Autograph Collection Hotels’ values of vision, design and craft.

Hilton launch meetings and events-focused Signia brand

Hilton has launched a new meetings and events-focused brand, Signia Hilton, the global hotel group’s 17th brand.

With a minimum of 500 bedrooms and 75 sq ft per key of flexible meetings and events space, Signia Hiltons will feature destination bars, chef-driven restaurant concepts, modern architecture and guestrooms, lobbies that double up as social spaces and ‘premium’ wellness facilities such as infinity pools, spas and fitness classes.

The meetings and events spaces will be the core of each Signia Hilton with large ballrooms and pre-function areas, as well as small to mid-size meeting rooms.

Signia Hilton will operate in urban and resort locations, with sites confirmed including Signia Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Signia Hilton Atlanta and Signia Hilton Indianapolis in the USA. No plans have yet been announced to bring Signia to the UK.

First Radisson Hotel in Europe opens its doors in Gdansk, Poland

The Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk in Poland, the first new Radisson in Europe, bringing the hotel group’s portfolio to 17 hotels has opened its doors.

Located on the city’s historic Granary Island, the new-build Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk features 350 guestrooms and suites, including 12 junior suites, five suites and four apartments. The hotel has a range of leisure facilities, including a lobby bar, an all-day dining restaurant, gym, spa and swimming pool. The meeting area offers 1,000sqm of space set across a ballroom, four function rooms, seven meeting rooms and a separate area that can be used as a foyer or a function space.

First voco property for the Netherlands

IHG have announced the signing of the first voco hotel in the Netherlands, voco – Kneuterdijk 8 will be set in a beautiful building located in the city centre of the Hague that formerly housed a bank and is set to open in 2020.

The signing of voco the Hague – Kneuterdijk 8 follows the recent openings of the first three voco hotels in the world — voco Gold Coast in Australia, voco Cardiff and voco Solihull in the UK – and continuing the strong momentum for IHG’s newest upscale brand in Europe.

With a listed façade dating from the 1920s and an expansive atrium, the property boasts historic features that will be retained and very carefully renovated. Inside, the hotel will be no less awe-inspiring – containing more than 200 exquisite rooms and suites.

Midscale lifestyle brand,Tribe, launched by Accor

French hotel group Accor has launched a new midscale, lifestyle brand called Tribe.

The first Tribe hotel has already opened in Perth, Australia, with the first European hotel – a 290-bedroom property – set to launch in Glasgow later this year. A further 50 hotels are currently in discussions with Accor to adopt the brand.

It is expected that the Tribe brand will make an appearance worldwide, including in locations such as London, Paris, Singapore, Dubai and Bangkok. 

Tribe is the 39th brand within the Accor portfolio which totals nearly 4,800 hotels and resorts across 100 countries.

New Radisson Blu set for Rome

Due to be fully renovated by Q1 2021, the new Radisson Blu hotel in Rome will mark the group’s third hotel in Italy’s booming tourism capital

Located in the Parioli neighbourhood the Radisson Blu GHR Rome will feature 297 rooms, including 51 suites, five meeting rooms totalling 485 sqm of event space, a bar and restaurant as well as taking in views of the Eternal City from another rooftop restaurant. Leisure facilities will include a spa and a fitness center.

Moxy Hotels to open in Copenhagen

Marriott’s lifestyle brand Moxy Hotels will open Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen in March.

Opening in Copenhagen’s Sydhavnen, Moxy will be located in a growing business area with Aalborg University Copenhagen and thousands of apartments buildings.

The property will include 226 rooms, a free gym for all, flexible and informal meeting rooms, 43” Netflix-ready televisions and a communal bar and co-working space.

Moxy Hotels is Marriott International’s new millennial-focused brand that debuted in September 2014 with the opening of the Moxy Milan.
