The Swissotel Zurich has undergone an extensive renovation programme. Refurbishments include the installation of energy and heat recovery systems to enhance the hotel’s sustainability credentials.

West Midlands Hotel Undergoes Renovation

Stafford-based venue Tillington Hall has completed a further phase of its ongoing refurbishment and investment programme worth £500,000. Located three miles from central Stafford and a two-minute drive from the M6, Tillington Hall is a privately-owned hotel offering accommodation, conference and banqueting facilities. The initial investment project took in the public areas, providing a new reception area and light and airy lounges. The Garden Suite – which provides space for up to 300 delegates for a meeting – was given a complete refurbishment and has plenty of natural daylight. The Royal Suite has also been transformed and has its own entrance, reception area, lounge and bar; making it ideal for a range of events from conferences to dinners.

Trinity Trip To Paris

Some of our lucky agents were able to travel to Paris this weekend for a site visit, courtesy of Disneyland Paris, Marriott Rive Gauche, and Liberty Incentives. Amidst the detailed site-visits and contact-building, they were able to snatch a moment to meet this most famous of mouses.

New Tallinn Venue Due To Open

The new Maritime Museum is due to open in May 11th in the historic Estonian capital of Tallinn. The vast, 6,500m2 space will be a treasure chest of marine history, presenting over 200 large-scale exhibitions. Among the attractions will be the 1936-era Lembit submarine, multimedia presentations on everything from water craft to naval weapons, and even a flight simulator. Areas of the hangars that not used for exhibitions will be made available for receptions and special events for up to 500 persons.

Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre as part of the IHG rebrand has had a full refurbishment of its largest room – The Albany Suite. The ceiling lighting can be altered to reflect company colors and the room can hold up to 600 theatre style.

New Tallinn Venue Announced

Next year Tallinn will see the opening of two exciting, new venues that will not only add to the list of worthy places for visitors to Estonia’s capital go, but will serve as unique meeting venues as well. The famous Tallinn TV Tower, originally inaugurated in 1980, will open its doors in April after an extensive renovation. In addition to breathtaking views of the city and the Baltic Sea, its observation deck at the 175-metre level will present interactive exhibitions on Estonia’s claims to world fame, sci-fi inspired interiors, a restaurant and café. An intriguing presentation on the tower’s history will be offered on the second floor, which is decorated in a retro, 1980s style. From October to April, the tower can be rented for special events. Its cinema hall and ‘cloud-level’ meeting area can each accommodate up to 100 people, and catering is available.
