A new Vivanta hotel at Heathrow Airport terminals 1,2 and 3 will open in 2021. The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) are behind plans for the new luxury hotel, which will have 108 rooms, an all-day-diner, a bar and lounge, gym as well as banqueting and meeting facilities.
The hotel will also be home to the fourth outpost of the restaurant Bombay Brasserie, famed for its authentic, eclectic Bombay and Indian cuisine.
Having entered the building, the meeting rooms are to the left of this area, the exhibition space is to the right. The auditorium was nice and fully furnished, while some of the meeting rooms on the first floor have great views over the area (including views of the cable car across the Thames). The exhibition space can also be used for drinks receptions, although this would be with the attendees dispersed through the exhibition rather than all in one space.

This new hotel is due to open in the next week and is located in the city centre, about 2km from the sea front and 7km from Larnaca International Airport.
There will be 10 meeting rooms and the largest conference room will have capacity for 140 attendees. One of the meeting rooms is on the 16th floor, roof top with views to the port. The hotel will have 106 bedrooms, 54 standard and superior and 52 business rooms and suites, a restaurant, lobby bar, pool bar and rooftop bar. Leisure facilities include a fitness room, outdoor pool, spa and 4 treatment rooms.

The meeting rooms are fresh and functional, without any bold colours, and most enjoy natural daylight. The meeting rooms (and the hotel as a whole) is decorated in a sleek corporate style, with the bedrooms of a similar feel. Some of the bedrooms have lovely views across the Thames.
“I enjoyed my visit to the hotel, as it is a nice modern property that appears to be well maintained, in a pleasant modern redeveloped area relatively close to Canary Wharf. I thought the hotel could work well for a mix of events, as well as supporting with accommodation for events at the ExCel centre.”
The next stop on Alex’s tour of London was the Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf – a purpose-built hotel a short walk from Blackwall DLR station, and also about a 10-15 minute walk from Canary Wharf. The hotel is also almost opposite the Thames from the Millennium Dome.
The hotel has a nice airy lobby, with the meeting rooms located upstairs to the right as one enters the property. The meeting rooms are fresh and functional, without any bold colours, and most enjoy natural daylight. Following a two year long refurbishment the Radisson Collection Hotel, Strand Stockholm is now completely renewed. Located in one of Stockholm’s most historic buildings and originally launched in 1912 for the Olympics the hotel blends effortless Scandinavian design with an artistic richness.
The hotel’s 170 guest rooms and suites, meeting spaces, lobby, restaurant and bars have all been refreshed. The top floor Tower Suite, has access to a personal roof terrace with panoramic views of the city.
The dual-branded property, Crowne Plaza London – Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London – Heathrow Terminal 4, have between them a total of 761 bedrooms and together will form one of the largest hotel openings in the UK this year.
The hotels are a three-minute walk to the terminal building and when finished in October, will be the largest hotel complex directly connected to a British airport terminal.

For groups looking to host meetings or events, DoubleTree by Hilton Moscow Vnukovo Airport offers more than 1000 square metres of flexible meeting and event space with capacity to fit over 900 attendees. Street Feast, the UK’s most innovative social dining concept, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of its newest venue, Hawker Union, just a short walk from Alexandra Palace.
Previously a derelict warehouse, Hawker Union has been transformed into an innovative and contemporary food market concept which blends incredible food and drink excellent customer service, it is also available for corporate and private hire and with 1200 sqm of transformable space and a 700 capacity, Hawker Union is a versatile events space suitable for work functions, screenings, conferences, photoshoots, along with birthdays, engagement parties and weddings.
One Aldwych, the 105-bedroom luxury hotel on the edge of London’s Covent Garden will close for two months next year to complete a major refurbishment.
The hotel will initially remain open when work starts on the multimillion-pound project in October, closing in mid-January and it is expected the hotel will reopen in March.
The refurb will create a new look for the bedrooms, which will include four new suites, taking the total bedroom count down to 102 and the public spaces including the entrance, reception, Lobby bar, Indigo restaurant and private event spaces will also undergo renovation.
