SUD HALL is a new venue on the banks of the River Tagus in the Belem area of Lisbon. It consists of two buildings connected by a sky bridge, a restaurant and multipurpose venue. There is magnificent view of 25 de Abril Bridge.
The meeting/banqueting space is on two levels, with the larger room on the ground floor which has capacity for a banquet for 480 or 700 people in theatre style. The covered area of the roof top can hold 240 for a banquet or 336 in theatre style. There is uncovered roof top space that can be used for drinks, breaks and there’s a rooftop swimming pool which is great for themed parties.
Located in London’s Whitechapel the hotel will feature 80 bedrooms and reflect the venues heritage and location with exposed brickwork, open lobby spaces and stunning views of London’s skyline. Marco Pierre White’s Mr White’s English Chophouse will provide the F&B offering, along with the Cereal Grind breakfast bar in the lobby.
Due to open in 2019, the Crowne Plaza will be located in the Business Bay Canal close to the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall and will boast of 290 rooms and suites, all day dining options, an outdoor infinity pool and a gym.
The InterContinental will be located in the Bay just across from the Crowne Plaza and will serve as an ideal residence for those seeking a home in Dubai’s luxury lifestyle and commercial hub – offering 30 studios, 60 one bedroom, 60 two bedroom and 60 three bedroom suites.
Over in the US, the Hoxton will be located in Chicago and feature a rooftop pool, restaurant and as the London property the Apartment meeting and events space.
The new venues will, will join sister properties in London (Shoreditch and Holburn) and Amsterdam. The Paris Hoxton is due to launch later this month with an opening set later in the year for New York, LA and Southwalk in South London.
Throughout the venue unusual design themes are prominent, inspired by Switzerland, Lake Zurich and chocolate, which reflect the city’s prominence and elegance.
Guests are aware of the local inspiration from the moment they enter Motel One Zurich, for example the backdrop to the reception area is a glowing gold panorama of the Swiss Alps and the bar which pays homage to Swiss chocolate.
The venue offers conference facilities for 2-200 delegates for private meetings, meetings and special events. As the hotel now has a partnership with The School of Economic Science, located next door, they are able to provide The McLaren Hall which can comfortably accommodate up to 100 seated guests and a smaller boardroom for up to 40 delegates, all catering is provided by the Mandeville with lunch served in their Reform Social & Grill Restaurant.
The hotel boasts of 142 rooms and suites, with the 5th floor bedrooms all individually designed by Christian Lacroix, the Reform Social & Grill all day dining venue which also serves Afternoon Tea and also bar which has an extensive cocktail menu.

The new venues will include sites in London, as well as regional cities such as York and Leeds, with a focus on its Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn brands. The company only opened six UK hotels in 2016 so the growth rate is a step up.
The plans will include the Lincoln Plaza London in Canary Wharf, the second UK hotel in its Curio brand, a collection of independent hotels that retain their identity but are run by Hilton or under a franchise agreement. The latest set of growth plans follow the company opening the largest Hampton by Hilton hotel in the world at Stansted (pictured), meaning it now has sites at 18 UK airports.
