The Conrad, Algarve is set to open in Quinta Do Lago in Spring 2012. The hotel will have 154 bedrooms and six meeting rooms and a ballroom with a capacity for 358 delegates. There are also 6 restaurants, a swimming pool and spa.
March 2012 will see the launch of Belfast’s most ambitious project, the £97 million Titanic Belfast. Overlooking the birthplace of the famous liner, the venue will be the cornerstone of the Titanic Quarter, which will include offices, apartments, hotels and retail units, and opens in time or the centenary of RMS Titanic’s maiden voyage in April. The Quarter is expected to attract 400,000 visitors per year. As Northern Ireland’s largest ever tourism project the development will include a 750-seat conference centre, gallery space for temporary exhibitions and event hire, visitor attractions plus community arts and education facilities.
The Molineux Stadium, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club has begun a £50 million re-development of three of its stands. Its Stan Cullis, Steve Bull and Jack Harris stands will be re-developed to contain better facilities as well as state of the art function rooms with capacities of up to 1,000 people. The whole project will take four years.
