Destination Champion Visits Marrakech

Stephen Usher, Managing Director of Trinity Event Management, was able to visit his Destination of Marrakech, having spent 3 days there. He was able to site visit 17 hotels and venues.

Trinity Agent Set For Stockholm

Collette Bent, one of our agents from Trinity Event Management, has been selected to attend a FAM Trip to Stockholm on 29th June – 1st July. The trip includes site visits, sampling local cuisine, and networking with other agents. This will be Collette’s first visit to Stockholm as Destination Champion.

Dutch Hotel Renovation Revealed

After a six-month renovation period, the Novotel World Forum in The Hague was officially reopened. All 216 rooms were converted to the new Novotel Next Up concept, in which spaciousness and comfort are key. Unique to this hotel is its direct connection with the World Forum Conference Centre. Food & Beverage facilities are shared, and the combination makes 21 conference and meeting rooms available for organisers using the Novotel.

Portuguese Travel Warning

Air traffic controllers in Portugal will stage a series of new partial strikes beginning next week.

The controllers will stop working for two four-hour periods each day beginning on June 29 until July 3. Previous such strikes in April and May severely disrupted air traffic, with hundreds of flights affected.

In addition, pilots working for the state TAP ( Air Portugal) company that is due to be privatised before the end of the year as part of an international bailout, will not fly between July 5-8 and August 1-5.
