Abu Dhabi gets 2 new Radisson Blu properties

Radisson Blu has opened 2 hotels in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi. Both hotels are located in prominent locations with the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Abu Dhabi Croniche located on the vibrant sea walk AND THE Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Al Ain located in one of the countries cultural gems.

Offering 14 meeting rooms including 2 ballrooms and outdoor venues the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Abu Dhabi can offer event space for up to 2000 overlooking the Abu Dhabi coastline. The venue has 327 spacious guestrooms and suites and 9 catering outlets.

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Al Ain is set within landscape gardens offering a very different experience however it is still only 90 minutes to Abu Dhabi Airport. Stepped in history the Grand Ballroom has 4 addition flexible meeting rooms available accommodating up to 650 guests. In addition to the meeting space the hotel has 210 spacious guest rooms, villas, suites and studios.

Grosvenor hotel to rebrand as Amba Victoria

The Grosvenor hotel at London’s Victoria is to be re-branded under GLH Hotels’ Amba brand following its refurbishment, the 345-bedroom property, which is at the moment operating under the Guoman Hotels brand, is currently undergoing a redesign ahead of relaunching under the group’s four-star brand. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2019.

The refurbishment will be phased, with the Grosvenor Arms restaurant and Tea Lounge already complete. The hotel’s bedrooms, meetings and events spaces, and additional food and beverage outlets will be fully refurbished throughout next year. 

Amba Victoria will join two other hotels in the brands in Marble Arch and Charing Cross.

Boxpark Wembley now open

Boxpark Wembley is now open with more than 20 food and beverage vendors, the North West London site is the largest to date for the Boxpark team.

Boxpark Wembley also features a 20,000 sq ft dedicated events space and a year-round schedule of entertainment. The cultural strategy for the area includes artist studios run by Second Floor Studios & Arts, a public art programme and cultural programming and events.

Moxy Edinburgh to open early 2019

Marriott has confirmed that its new Moxy Edinburgh hotel will open in January, the new 230-bedroom hotel at Edinburgh Airport is the first opening in the city for Marriott’s lifestyle brand, with plans in the pipeline for a second in the Fountainbridge area to open in 2020.

CitizenM opens in Copenhagen

First Nordic opening from the design brand CitizenM is 238-room overlooking the historic city centre in Denmark’s capital. The property is located in the Dagmarhus building at H.C. Andersens Boulevard 12, and is the brands 14th hotel – the first in the Nordic region – in the centre of Copenhagen

It has four event spaces, with the largest sitting up to 12 for half-day and full-day bookings.

IHG’s Voco Dubai to Open in 2019

Voco Dubai will open its doors in the first quarter of 2019 as the first Voco hotel in the region, parent company InterContinental Hotels Group announced on Thursday. Located on Shaikh Zayed Road, which is home to most of Dubai’s signature skyscrapers, Voco Dubai will be set in what is currently the Nassima Royal Hotel. Designed for both business and leisure travellers, the rebranded property will have 471 guest rooms that overlook either Sheikh Zayed Road or the beach. Amenities will include a business centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, a spa, three restaurants and more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

IHG launched the upscale Voco brand in June, aiming to combine the informality and charm of an individual hotel with the quality and reassurance of a global and respected brand. The UK’s first nhow hotel to open in 2019

nhow London, a 190-room hotel under NH Hotel Group’s design and lifestyle brand, is set to open in London in summer 2019. The property will be located between the City, Islington and Shoreditch, within the ‘250 City Road’ development, the four-star hotel will be NH Hotel Group’s second property in the UK.

The eight-storey hotel will feature 190 rooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, networking spaces and several meeting rooms as well a ‘Big Ben’ rocket sculpture being one of the lobby’s most striking elements. re.

The restaurant – The Bell – will be an avant-garde version of a traditional British pub, with green leather seating coiling through the room and tables featuring cockney rhyming slang. 

The nhow London is due to open in the summer of 2019.

Radisson Red Vienna set for 2021 opening in Austria

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of the Radisson Red Vienna in Austria.

The Imperial City will welcome the new property in 2021 which will located in the Leopoldstadt area of the city, the newly built hotel will allow guests to stay in one of Vienna’s most vibrant and trendy areas. The popular Danube Canal, with its numerous beach bars and restaurants, is nearby, while the hotel will also be within walking distance of the city centre.

The Radisson Red Vienna will have 179 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym, and a creative meetings space.
