Doubletree By Hilton Moscow Vnukovo Airport Opens

DoubleTree by Hilton Moscow Vnukovo Airport is now open, offering panoramic airport views, contemporary regional cuisine and more than 1000 meters of meeting and event space. The 432-room property is the latest addition to the growing portfolio of DoubleTree by Hilton, one of Hilton’s 14 market- leading brands. The new hotel joins five existing DoubleTree by Hilton properties in Russia.

DoubleTree by Hilton Moscow Vnukovo Airport is the first hotel of an international hospitality chain at Moscow Vnukovo Airport. The hotel is located at the main entrance to Terminal A and connected to the airport via an underground tunnel, as well as 10-minutes away from the Private Jets Terminal. It also offers quick and easy access to and from the centre of Moscow via high-speed train connections, including close proximity to the 2018 World Cup Stadium – Luzhniki Stadium.

For groups looking to host meetings or events, DoubleTree by Hilton Moscow Vnukovo Airport offers more than 1000 square metres of flexible meeting and event space with capacity to fit over 900 attendees. The space includes two pillar-free ballrooms and six additional meeting rooms with floor to ceiling windows.

The hotel offers a stunning rooftop bar, SkyLounge, As an option for breakfast, lunch or dinner, guests can dine at Bar 208 or LEGENDS restaurant to experience regional contemporary dining in a relaxed atmosphere.

Multi-Million Pound Refurbishment Set For One Aldwych

One Aldwych, the 105-bedroom luxury hotel on the edge of London’s Covent Garden will close for two months next year to complete a major refurbishment.

The hotel will initially remain open when work starts on the multimillion-pound project in October, closing in mid-January and it is expected the hotel will reopen in March.

The refurb will create a new look for the bedrooms, which will include four new suites, taking the total bedroom count down to 102 and the public spaces including the entrance, reception, Lobby bar, Indigo restaurant and private event spaces will also undergo renovation.

Mercure Birmingham North Barons Court

Mercure Birmingham North Barons Court Hotel is the latest addition to the brand.

The property dates back to 1901 and has 94 rooms, meeting and function facilities, with 5 meeting rooms with a capacity up to 200 people, as well as a brasserie restaurant and bar.

This new addition brings our Mercure network in the UK to 80 hotels and it will be a great addition to offer in the Midlands.

Hilton Unveils The Brands First Tri-Branded Property In Chicago

Hilton has announced the opening of its first tri-branded property, which includes Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place, Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place and Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place. The 23-story tri-branded hotel has 184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms and 95 suites within the Home2 Suites, as well as a skybridge providing guests with convenient access to McCormick Place, North America’s largest convention centre.

Movenpick Opens Five Star Seafront Hotel In Hua Hin

A new five-star property in Thailand has opened its doors with 96 suites and pool villas.

The Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hint resort – previously the Asara Villa & Suite Hua Hin – has been completely rebranded with a head-to-toe refurbishment.

The beachside location is surrounded by tropical gardens and pools. It is 10 minutes from the centre of Hua Hin and a two-hour drive from Bangkok.

The resort has 120sqm suites with large balconies or terraces as well as bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and bathtubs.

The one- and two-bedroom villas are between 150-200 sqm including outdoor decks and plunge pools.

Guests have a choice of two restaurants at the resort with Thai cuisine, fresh seafood and international gourmet dishes on the menus.

The property includes its own Asara Spa, as well as a fitness room, private outdoor infinity swimming pool and resort gardens.

Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux Centre Opens In France

Bordeaux has welcomed its first Hilton Garden Inn property. The hotel joins an existing nine Hilton properties in France.

The 166-guestroom hotel located only three tram stops from the iconic Place de la Bourse, along with the Opéra National, Cité du Vin and Bordeaux Métropole Aréna just ten minutes away and Bordeaux-Merignac Airport is also a short 25-minute drive from the hotel.

There is over 250 square meters of banquet space, make it an ideal riverside venue for hosting.

Yotel To Open Glasgow Hotel

Yotel is to open a hotel in Glasgow with a rooftop bar and bowling alley as part of its European expansion.

The new 256-bedroom city centre hotel will open in November 2019 and will be the brand’s fifth UK property. The affordable hotel group’s latest property will transform the Westergate building on Argyle Street.

Lake Como Mandarin Oriental Opening Spring 2019

The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como will open in spring 2019 following a complete refurbishment of the current hotel’s facilities.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is taking over what is currently the CastaDiva Resort & Spa on Lake Como in Italy.

Located on the shores of Lake Como, and surrounded by lush botanic parkland, the resort comprises 76 rooms and suites housed in nine villas, dating from the 19th century. Almost all accommodation has lake views and the resort features four restaurants and bars, including a lakeside terrace for al fresco dining, a large spa with an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor floating pool on the lake.

There will also be meeting facilities in the grounds.

Harbour Hotels Acquire Two Cornish Hotels In Fowey And Padstow

Harbour Hotels has acquired two hotels in the Cornish seaside resorts of Fowey and Padstow.

The addition of the two hotels will take the groups portfolio up up to 13 hotels and two country event venues.

The Fowey Hotel which has 37-bedrooms and the Metropole hotel in Padstow, 58-bedrooms, will now undertake an extensive refurbishment which will see the introduction of its HarSPA and Jetty restaurant brands to the properties. The two hotels will officially joining the Harbour brand once the work is complete during 2019.
