Pulitzer Amsterdam Re-Opens After Refurbishment

The legendary Pulitzer Amsterdam, which overlooks two of Amsterdam’s most scenic canals is due to re-open on the 15th of August after an extensive refurbishment. The hotel is comprised of twenty-five 17th and 18th century restored historic townhouses and loft buildings, many of which include split level guest rooms. Interior designers Bentel and Bentel oversaw the re-design of the property which is set to reveal a further 145 bedrooms and suites which will bring its total up to 225. The lobby, the beautiful inner gardens and main entrance will also be unveiled in addition to the hotels elegant meeting and event space.

Mandarin Oriental To Have A Multi-Million Pound Refurb

The Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park London is undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment. This 5 star hotel currently offers 169 bedrooms and 25 luxury suites as well as 5 meeting rooms and all of the space will be part of the refurbishment which will take place from the 19th September 2016 and be completed after approximately 18 months. It has been 16 years since the hotel last underwent a renovation and the aim is to enhance the hotel’s positioning within the luxury market in London. The hotel will remain operational throughout the duration of the refurbishment.

Sheraton Grand London Park Reopens After Refurbishment

The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane has recently reopened following an extensive renovation to modernise the hotel whilst still keeping the original features within the Art- Deco building. All 303 bedrooms within the property have undergone a refurb as well as all of the public spaces within the hotel. An additional 43 Club Sheraton rooms have been added into the hotel, alongside a new private lounge for guests staying in these rooms to access to enjoy complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes. The hotel is opposite Green Park in the heart of central London and just a short walk from nearby underground stations and Buckingham Palace

Room Mate Hotels Opens New Hotel In Barcelona

Room Mate Anna is the first of the three new hotels Room Mate have planned for Barcelona, in addition to their existing three. Being centrally located in Passeo de Gràcia, stunning city views are provided by the rooftop terrace with circular swimming pool. It also means it is just a step away from the best shops, bars and trendy restaurants in the heart of the city. The hotel has a décor inspired by Barcelona’s Catalonian and Mediterranean roots, by interior designer and antiques expert Lorenzo Castillo, who previously worked on Room Mate hotels in New York and Florence. It has 81 bedrooms, which bring up Room Mate’s total to approximately 1500, operated across 23 properties. 8 more openings are planned for this year and next in cities including Rotterdam, Florence, Rome, Paris and Madrid, which will increase their total to about 4000 rooms.

Chelsea’S Wren House To Open For Corporate Hire

Previously private apartments, Wren House underwent significant renovations last year, and can now hold meetings, receptions, lunches, dinners and teambuilding sessions. In addition to the existing reception and banqueting rooms, there are three reception rooms on the ground floor, three spaces on the first floor, and an outdoor space on the South Terrace. Most rooms offer views over the grounds and capacities range between 10 and 60. Joanne Cochran, Head of Events at Royal Hospital Chelsea, believes the venue is more suited to bookers searching for a more intimate space, and says there is plenty of theming potential for both private and corporate events.

Hilton Edinburgh Opens After Huge Refurbishment

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Hilton Edinburgh Carlton, following a £17m revamp.

The hotel is owned and operated by Amaris Hospitality and is part of their 73-hotel portfolio across the UK and Ireland. Featuring 211 rooms, the venue also has seven meeting spaces accommodating up to 200 delegates.

Hilton Edinburgh Carlton is home to a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill, offering local produce and a classic dining menu, as well as bespoke dining options for private events along with dedicated breakout spaces.

ME London came in to see us last week. Here are some key facts about them:

The hotel is designed by the world famous architects Foster and Partners.
ME London (the flagship property for the ME by Melia group) is a luxury lifestyle hotel in the southern tip of Covent Garden offering 157 rooms including 16 suites, the award-winning Penthouse Suite ME – a duplex suite with dining room, private terrace overlooking the city, River Thames, Westminster and a 360° glass dome living room at the top of the building with private access to the acclaimed Radio Rooftop Bar.
The hotel is also home of the world’s famous STK restaurant and Radio Rooftop Bar with views over the London skyline.
The 9-storey Atrium is a breathtaking reception area with geometric graphic projections on the marble walls along with a champagne bar for guests to enjoy a glass while checking-in. Your ME experience will be enriched by the Aura Team who is there to go the extra “smile”.

The Corinthia At Meydan Beach, Dubai

Corinthia Hotels are opening up a luxury beachfront resort in Dubai. The Corinthia at Meydan Beach, which includes a hotel and residences, will be up and running in 2019. Meeting spaces will be in a 55-storey tower with views of Palm Island and the Dubai Eye (currently under development) and delegates will have access to the beach via gardens, extensive indoor and outdoor leisure and dining facilities, a luxury Spa, a club and banqueting amenities.

Three Marriott Brands Opening In One Building In Nashville

Come 2018, Nashville, US, will experience a first – Marriott are opening three of their hotel brands under one roof. Their aim is to provide three distinct services through Marriott’s AC Hotels by Marriott, Spring Hill Suites by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott. The building is in SoBro (South of Broadway), a dynamic district with many new and renovated buildings. This particular one has 21 floors and 470 rooms: 209, 125 and 136 respectively. The venture is estimated to cost $102 million.
