The Old Swan and Minster Hill is a unique, quirky and luxurious privately owned de Savary property, adjacent to a mill run on the River Windrush in the Cotswold village of Minster Lovell. The Malthouse also offers the perfect area for drinks receptions with a patio terrace overlooking the River Windrush.

2016 will see a new £5 million Luxury Spa open in the in Summer and newly fully refurbished bedrooms and luxury riverside suites are due to be completed later in the year. The Old Swan now has a Michelin starred chef now on board, Adam Simmonds, who was a finalist from The Great British Menu.

The Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonia has launched a new corporate event space, Peacock Alley. 

The hotel, built in 1903 has 241 bedrooms and eight meeting rooms; Peacock Alley is now available for a range of events, taking the venues capacity for corporate dinners from 190 to 300 and can hold up to 400 people for a reception. The space is available from Monday to Thursdays channelling the glamour and prestige of the Old Caledonian. The Peacock alley was originally a station concourse and ticket office of the Caledonian railway and still retains its historic features such as the historic Caledonian station clock above the restaurant.

Horsley Court has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment of the reception and public areas to give an ultra-modern new look. Meeting rooms have now been refreshed with new flooring, LED lighting, built in audio visual equipment and stylish furniture. The two main meeting suites can accommodate up to 100 delegates, a further meeting room for 30 delegates, 9 syndicates rooms. The refurbished lobby and reception area now boast a new central refreshment station for reviving breaks, it is ideal for exclusive use and standalone meetings and events.

The Natural History Museum in London has launched ‘Waterhouse Way’ as a private hire events space. The events space offers organisers more flexibility, especially for stand-alone events with a smaller guest list.  The space can accommodate 50 – 250 guests for dinner, or 100 – 400 guests in a reception. Waterhouse way is part of the Waterhouse building, and with its beautiful architecture and display of some of the most complete fossils of pre-historic sea animals in the world, makes it a truly unique venue. Between January and August 2017, guests can dine with a view of the giant sloth, or next to fossils that inspired stories of sea dragons which will definitely act as a talking point!

The renowned Manchester interior design agency ‘NoChintz’ have been appointed to create the look for the new £250k village point development, which is due to open in Heaton Moor in late spring 2016. 

The 19th century building’s, a former Conservative Club, interior restoration commenced in winter 2015 and NoChintz is set to start work on the interiors shortly.


NoChintz is to re-create and bring to life a series of show stopping space for Village Point, this will include The Ballroom, which will accommodate events for up to 200 people, The Lodge, which will host smaller events and The Hub which will provide dedicated working spaces for freelancers and small businesses.


Each space will have its own unique identity; The Ballroom will offer classic grandeur with a modern twist. The Lodge, which will host regular music nights for the public as well as private events and will have a more cutting edge look to it. The Hub has been designed with a New York feel to it, creating a sense of calm and privacy within an open plan working space. 


The finished design has been devised to work across a whole host of uses from weddings to parties, conferences to acoustic nights, but still feeling seamlessly part of the overall Village Point experience.
