We had the Royal Garden Hotel visit the Trinity office this week, who gave us 5 key pieces of information about the hotel;

• The hotel was the host hotel for the 1966 World Cup winning England Team – the Palace Suite where all of our conferences are held, is where the World Cup draw was held that year.
• The Royal Garden in an independent hotel. Decisions are made in house and give the flexibility to help cater to clients needs.
• The Palace Suite can accommodate up to 550 theatre style, the room can be divided into 2 and is suitable for exhibition and conference space.
• The hotel is ‘T’ shaped, one side overlooks the Mews behind the hotel, another overlooking High Street Kensington and the final side overlooking Kensington Palace and Gardens with breath taking views over the city skyline.
• This year the hotel is celebrating its 50th anniversary, 7.5 million guest have stayed in the Royal Garden Hotel during this time and 600 thousand afternoon teas have been served in the restaurant, Park Terrace.

Good for Rugby 

The RFU is a not for profit organisation so all money we make goes back into the sport and grass roots rugby making a real difference in the rugby community, how great is that? 

Royal Windsor Racecourse are part of 15 Arena Race Courses located all over the country and can accommodate a wide range of events.

The racecourse boasts 26 indoor meeting spaces from 2-300 people and 165 acres of outdoor space in beautiful Windsor. All meeting rooms have panoramic views of the racecourse, the River Thames and beyond. Day delegate packages start from £45 + VAT per person and if you book your Christmas Party before the 30th June 2016 they will be offering an early bird rate starting from £56 + VAT per person (minimum numbers of 100 guests).

Celtic Manor has acquired the Hilton Newport Hotel. The Hilton Newport has 148 guest rooms and nine meeting rooms and Celtic Manor plans to continue running this as a hotel, under a new name to be confirmed at a later stage. The additional bedrooms at the acquired hotel will help address the need for more accommodation across the Celtic Manor resort which currently stands at 400 bedrooms.

1. The hotel was created by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, following their idea to start up in hospitality after years of staying in hotels. It was originally owned by the Class of ’92 – Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, but in September 2015 a 75% share of the hotel was purchased by Rowsley, a Singapore based company in which Salford City part-owner Peter Lim has a share.

2. In June 2015 the hotel won the Business Start Up Award at the Trafford Business Awards 2015.

3. The hotel is positioned next to Old Trafford with views over looking the stadium.

4. Hotel football opened in 2015 with 133 bedrooms and meeting space to accommodate up to 350 delegates.

5. Heaven – Manchester’s most exciting rooftop event space –  a football pitch which can be hired as a corporate space for activities or to host a dinner, this space can hold up to 200 guests.

The hotel is located near Canary Wharf, London ExCeL, The O2, London City Airport and the Emirates Air Line Cable Car and  features 31 deluxe rooms and 35 suites, offering views of London’s Royal Victoria Dock. 

The hotel has a 24 hour business centre with two contemporary meeting spaces that can hold more than 90 delegates each with Wi-Fi and LCD screen. Other facilities at the hotel include a fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment, a lounge bar and a 112-seat DoubleTree restaurant.
