The Holiday Inn Walsall, will re-open its doors in early January after an extensive refurbishment. The hotel has a new conference & banqueting centre, featuring 10 conference rooms – the largest catering for up to 180 delegates theatre-style. In addition, the refurbishment of the hotel includes new restaurant and bar areas, which features Wi-Fi access throughout and a dedicated leisure club, J10 Fitness.

The newly built DoubleTree by Hilton has opened its doors at Newcastle International Airport. The 179-room hotel is situated 15 minutes from the North East city. The hotel’s rooms feature complimentary wired or wireless high-speed internet access and soundproof windows. There is more than 2,200 sq ft of flexible meeting room space at the hotel and a ballroom which can cater for up to 100 guests.

March 2012 will see the launch of Belfast’s most ambitious project, the £97 million Titanic Belfast. Overlooking the birthplace of the famous liner, the venue will be the cornerstone of the Titanic Quarter, which will include offices, apartments, hotels and retail units, and opens in time or the centenary of RMS Titanic’s maiden voyage in April. The Quarter is expected to attract 400,000 visitors per year. As Northern Ireland’s largest ever tourism project the development will include a 750-seat conference centre, gallery space for temporary exhibitions and event hire, visitor attractions plus community arts and education facilities.
