In December, the doors will reopen on one of Edinburgh’s revered Victorian buildings, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. The spectacular transformation has taken down false walls and revealed features now lovingly restored. There are more galleries and much more space for new exhibits. The maximum number for a sit-down dinner is 120, with top class catering supplied by Heritage Portfolio.

Hotel La Tour is a new hotel in the city Centre of Birmingham which is due to open at the end of February 2012.  The hotel will be to 4* standard and will have 174 bedrooms, dedicated Conference space to fit a maximum of 120 delegates, a destination restaurant and a vibrant street café.  The hotel is being built to a very high standard with lots of high tech features both in the meeting rooms and bedrooms.  There will be complimentary wi-fi throughout and built in projectors & screens in the meeting rooms.  The Birmingham hotel is going to be the first Hotel in the Group, and a site in Manchester has also been secured. The plan is to have 5 hotels over the next 5 years building up to around 12 hotels in total.  Other locations could be Bristol, York, Maidenhead, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Thistle Euston has now commenced a major refurbishment programme with a planned completion of April 2012. All 362 bedrooms will be refurbished, along with a re-styled reception area featuring pod check-in desks and all the Meeting Rooms will be designed to the new Thistle style. The hotel can accommodate meetings for up to 60 theatre style.
