Marriott has confirmed that its new Moxy Edinburgh hotel will open in January, the new 230-bedroom hotel at Edinburgh Airport is the first opening in the city for Marriott’s lifestyle brand, with plans in the pipeline for a second in the Fountainbridge area to open in 2020.
Radisson Blu Leninsky Prospect Hotel, Moscow, set for 2021 opening
Radisson Hotel Group has revealed the signing of the Radisson Blu Leninsky Prospect Hotel, Moscow, in Russia. The hotel will be an integral part of a mixed-use office and hotel complex and is set to open in 2021.
The hotel will feature 150 comfortable guest rooms, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and a fitness and wellness centre.
CitizenM opens in Copenhagen
First Nordic opening from the design brand CitizenM is 238-room overlooking the historic city centre in Denmark’s capital. The property is located in the Dagmarhus building at H.C. Andersens Boulevard 12, and is the brands 14th hotel – the first in the Nordic region – in the centre of Copenhagen
It has four event spaces, with the largest sitting up to 12 for half-day and full-day bookings.
The UK’s first nhow hotel to open in 2019
nhow London, a 190-room hotel under NH Hotel Group’s design and lifestyle brand, is set to open in London in summer 2019. The property will be located between the City, Islington and Shoreditch, within the ‘250 City Road’ development, the four-star hotel will be NH Hotel Group’s second property in the UK.
The eight-storey hotel will feature 190 rooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, networking spaces and several meeting rooms as well a ‘Big Ben’ rocket sculpture being one of the lobby’s most striking elements. re.
The restaurant – The Bell – will be an avant-garde version of a traditional British pub, with green leather seating coiling through the room and tables featuring cockney rhyming slang.
The nhow London is due to open in the summer of 2019.

Radisson Red Vienna set for 2021 opening in Austria
Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of the Radisson Red Vienna in Austria.
The Imperial City will welcome the new property in 2021 which will located in the Leopoldstadt area of the city, the newly built hotel will allow guests to stay in one of Vienna’s most vibrant and trendy areas. The popular Danube Canal, with its numerous beach bars and restaurants, is nearby, while the hotel will also be within walking distance of the city centre.
The Radisson Red Vienna will have 179 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym, and a creative meetings space.
Courtyard By Marriott Hotel Planned For London City Airport

A 196-bedroom Courtyard by Marriott hotel is due to open close to London City Airport in 2020.
The hotel will be a seven-storey property and will feature a ground-floor restaurant and meeting facilities. Its opening will coincide with a £500m redevelopment of the south-east London airport, which is set to quadruple the size of its passenger terminal.

Warner Buy Heythrop Park As Part Of Expansion Plans

Warner Leisure Hotels has acquired the 300-bedroom Heythrop Park Resort as part of its planned expansion, this follows the group’s recent £50m transformation of Studley Castle in Warwickshire, which is set to open its doors in March 2019 taking its portfolio up to 15 hotels
Warner intends to commence the refurbishment of the hotel in 2019, opening its doors as a new Warner in 2020. Built in the 1700s by Charles Talbot, Heythrop Park is a Grade II-listed property that sits on 440 acres of parkland and an 18-hole championship golf course.
New Leonardo Hotel Set For Manchester

Fattal hotel group has acquired a site in Manchester’s Adair Street where it will open a 275-bedroom Leonardo hotel in 2021, the opening follows Fattal’s purchase of the Midland hotel in Manchester in October.
The hotel will incorporate a gym as well as a restaurant and bar and will located in an area earmarked by Manchester City Council for regeneration with the intention of creating a new urban quarter for commercial and residential use
