Venues – Emirates Old Trafford has four conference and events venue’s situated within the Ground.

o      The Point which has a sit-down dinner capacity for up to 1,000 guests – or 850 with a dance floor. Conference and exhibition capacity is also 1,200. The space is sub-divisible into three areas, ideal for large events that need separate rooms or smaller functions and can be easily combined with our Pavilion via the bridge link or for larger events that need extra break-out space.

o The Pavilion combines the finest traditions of English cricket with modern, high end hospitality and is able to accommodate up to 700 guests across the eight suites and nine executive boxes we have to offer. With a footbridge linking The Point to the Pavilion, delegates have easy access to breakout rooms and extra syndicate spaces, making the venue unique. The suites are completely flexible, and can be adapted to your every need.

o The AJ Bell Players & Media Centre is a modern and high end facility that isn’t just for cricketers and journalists. It boasts a wide variety of flexible space and is perfect for corporate workshops, training, away days, small meetings and events and its Press Gallery offers magnificent, sweeping views of the pitch.

o The Trafford Cricket Centre is not just for batting and bowling. Once we drop the nets and wheel away the bowling machines, the Centre turns into a dynamic and versatile event space This large and open space is able to accommodate up to 1500 delegates and its functional space means it has the flexibility to cover a wide range of events.


Hilton Garden Inn

The crowning glory of Emirates Old Trafford’s redevelopment will be completed in the summer of 2017 when a brand new 150-bedroom four star Hilton Garden Inn opens its doors at the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club.

There will be five floors and 85 rooms are overlooking the world famous cricket pitch which can also be converted to hospitality boxes on match days. There will also be a bar, restaurant, fitness centre and a branded coffee shop.


Events

Emirates Old Trafford has hosted many events over the years for major clients such as Google and O2 plus special events such as The X Factor and The Voice and has hosted many a famous superstar including Simon Cowell, The Script, Cheryl Cole, Jimmy Carr, the entire MCFC Squad and Sir Alex Ferguson. The venue also hosted world-stars Rihanna and Beyoncé who held concerts within a week of each other with 80,000 visitors in attendance over both nights.

Full plans to build a conference and exhibition centre as part of the Winter Gardens complex have been revealed and, if realised, could put Blackpool back in the conference premier league. 

The £25m project has been outlined by developers and the planned new conference and the planned conference centre will increase the capacity of the Winter Gardens, allowing it to host over 7,000 delegates. Construction could start in winter 2017 if multi-million pound funding bids to the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership and the Coastal Communities fund are successful. 

A planning application submitted 1st December by architects Bisset Adams finally revealed the scale of the development, including how the new centre will link up with the existing complex and how the style of the new construction will complement the heritage of the current buildings.

With £1.8million spent over the last few months, the ICC has seen refreshes on halls 4, 9 and 10 along with four of its executive meeting rooms. One of the most noticeable improvements has been the addition of large format digital screens throughout the public mall and portable screens. There has also been investment in upgrading the Wi-Fi along with modernisation of the lighting throughout the Mall, registration and foyer areas. The £10m refurbishment programme has already provided a facelift to the venue’s largest flat-floored space, the 3,000m² Hall 3, Registration Area and Mall in 2015.

The ICC values customer feedback and knows that listening to its clients and understanding their needs is crucial in order to deliver exceptional service.

As such, the ICC has conducted nearly 500 detailed monthly customer feedback surveys since May 2013 via an independent third-party research agency and consistently receives an average score of 9/10; so far this year 98% of those surveyed have said they would bring another event to the ICC. The ICC also scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor® visitor reviews, which led to the venue receiving the TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence, awarded to hospitality businesses that continually delivered a high quality customer experience.

Construction starts in February 2017 at the International Convention Centre at Celtic Manor Resort near Newport. The £100m convention centre is due to start the construction phase around the 9th February and last approximately 2.5 years. The chief executive of Celtic Manor Ian Edwards said the new convention centre is set to help Wales compete in the international conference business of which he estimates Wales currently secures just 1.5% of the marketplace.


Consisting of a 4,000 seater ballroom, this will be the largest of only 3 pillar free ballrooms in Europe and the venue will be able to cater for 5,000 delegates in total. In addition to the meeting space the venue will have an additional 700 underground car parking spaces.


Once the venue is open it is expected to bring 100,000 bedroom nights and £70million economic benefit to the local area every year

The venue offers corporate venue hire and its location in the centre of Manchester’s business district supports this offering. The W brand, now part of Marriott International, has opened a new hotel in Las Vegas. Located on the North side of Las Vegas Boulevard the W hotel is part of the SLS resort and has 289 bedrooms and suites. For meeting and event space the hotel has 7 available venues including indoor and outdoor locations and their largest room being the Amplify Suite which can fit up to nearly 550 theatre.

The hotel has 7 restaurants and also a private roof top pool.

A new hotel is set to open in Bath and will be part of the Apex Hotel Group. Due to open in summer 2017 the 4 star hotel will have 177 bedrooms and various meeting facilities which will include the largest room to fit 420 theatre. 

The hotel will be located in central Bath, within 10 minute walk to local attractions such as the Roman Baths as well as within easy reach of transport links.
