National Railway Museum York

The National Railway Museum is located close to the train station in the centre of York and has plenty of on-site car parking so the venue is easily accessible for delegates.  The conference centre at the NRM has six meeting rooms, the largest of which can seat 140 delegates, and whilst these are clean, functional and versatile, it is evening dinners where the venue really comes into its own.  The Station Hall and the Great Hall provide fantastic, unique areas in which dinners can be held for up to 800 people.  For much smaller dining the Countess of York, an old railway carriage, offers another attention-grabbing setting.

Upbeat – A Team Building Drumming Session

Upbeat - a team building drumming session
Upbeat – a team building drumming session
Last week Team Spirit organised a drumming session for everyone at Trinity.  We were at Wyboston Lakes for our annual conference and this activity took place outside in the afternoon.  It was great to get some fresh air after being in a conference room all day.

In one hour Team Spirit managed to transform us into a Samba Band using drums and percussion instruments.  Firstly we practiced keeping time then were divided into smaller sections taking drums or instruments.  Each section of the band had a different rhythm which came together in a lively samba performance. Not only was it great fun, but it made us realise that each part is important and we achieved success when everyone was in time with everyone else and working together.
