Strand Hotel Stockholm becomes a Radisson Collection
Following a two year long refurbishment the Radisson Collection Hotel, Strand Stockholm is now completely renewed. Located in one of Stockholm’s most historic buildings and originally launched in 1912 for the Olympics the hotel blends effortless Scandinavian design with an artistic richness.
The hotel’s 170 guest rooms and suites, meeting spaces, lobby, restaurant and bars have all been refreshed. The top floor Tower Suite, has access to a personal roof terrace with panoramic views of the city.
The dual-branded property, Crowne Plaza London – Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London – Heathrow Terminal 4, have between them a total of 761 bedrooms and together will form one of the largest hotel openings in the UK this year.

Multi-million pound refurbishment set for One Aldwych
One Aldwych, the 105-bedroom luxury hotel on the edge of London’s Covent Garden will close for two months next year to complete a major refurbishment.
The hotel will initially remain open when work starts on the multimillion-pound project in October, closing in mid-January and it is expected the hotel will reopen in March.
The refurb will create a new look for the bedrooms, which will include four new suites, taking the total bedroom count down to 102 and the public spaces including the entrance, reception, Lobby bar, Indigo restaurant and private event spaces will also undergo renovation.
Mercure Birmingham North Barons Court Hotel is the latest addition to the brand.
The property dates back to 1901 and has 94 rooms, meeting and function facilities, with 5 meeting rooms with a capacity up to 200 people, as well as a brasserie restaurant and bar.
This new addition brings our Mercure network in the UK to 80 hotels and it will be a great addition to offer in the Midlands.
Hilton unveils the brands first tri-branded property in Chicago
Hilton has announced the opening of its first tri-branded property, which includes Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place, Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place and Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago McCormick Place. The 23-story tri-branded hotel has 184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms and 95 suites within the Home2 Suites, as well as a skybridge providing guests with convenient access to McCormick Place, North America’s largest convention centre.
Movenpick opens five star seafront hotel in Hua Hin
A new five-star property in Thailand has opened its doors with 96 suites and pool villas.
The Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hint resort – previously the Asara Villa & Suite Hua Hin – has been completely rebranded with a head-to-toe refurbishment.
The beachside location is surrounded by tropical gardens and pools. It is 10 minutes from the centre of Hua Hin and a two-hour drive from Bangkok.
The resort has 120sqm suites with large balconies or terraces as well as bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers and bathtubs.
The one- and two-bedroom villas are between 150-200 sqm including outdoor decks and plunge pools.
Guests have a choice of two restaurants at the resort with Thai cuisine, fresh seafood and international gourmet dishes on the menus.
The property includes its own Asara Spa, as well as a fitness room, private outdoor infinity swimming pool and resort gardens.
