Let us help you to help our clients!

We’re back! And we’re delivering events once again. Well, to be honest, we didn’t go anywhere; we’ve been busy making improvements to our technology and ensuring our team remains focused on enhancing their product knowledge.

We appreciate how truly tough it has been for all our hotel and venues partners, and we know you are still on the road to recovery. So, with enquiries starting to return to pre-pandemic levels, it’s time to help you start converting!

Events have been on hold for nearly two years, and the wonderful people we had to deliver events have sadly moved on to other industries. Venues and are agencies are facing the challenges of working with inexperienced people. They may be eager to learn, but there is also a lack of training resources to quickly bring them up to speed to meet current deadlines.

With our own event delivery experiences, we’re feeling the knock-on effects first-hand, and we’re experiencing the negative feedback; it’s the current climate we’re all in. With new or no conference/event staff, lack of experience in turning around enquiries and even delivering events themselves is taking its toll.

We know this is widespread across the industry, and we understand there is a long road to recovery for us all. And that’s where you need to let us help you help our clients and ultimately turn these enquiries into conversions.

In her latest video, Jacqui shares some of her market insights and tips for helping improve internal processes. If there’s anything more we can do to support you in turning around enquiries, please get in touch. We want to ensure communication channels are wide open and for you to know we’re here to help.

EDGE Venues delivers a successful broadcast

On Wednesday, 3rd March, EDGE Venues delivered a broadcast for more than 500 representatives from hotels, venues, agents and corporate event organisers.

The session confirmed that there is optimism from all participants that we can rebuild a successful industry. The speakers, including Chris Lester from Bauer Media, Suzanne Rowse from British Boarding Schools Workshop and Dale Parmenter from DRP Group, discussed their own experiences of industry changes and challenges. They were all positive and confident that conferences and meetings will return during the course of this year.

EDGE Venues has invested heavily in their venue finding and engagement platform during lockdown and this was an opportunity to demonstrate the new functionality and features that have been added. It will deliver a fantastic toolkit for venues to share their stories and really engage with both Agency and Corporate Buyers when decisions are being made to select a venue. In addition, there is a new, streamlined, RFP process designed to deliver substantial cost reductions to all stakeholders.

Jacqui Kavanagh, CEO of Trinity EDGE Holdings commented on the success of the event: “During lockdown we have spent our time improving www.edgevenues.com. The team was delighted to showcase the new developments, which have been built for the future needs of the industry. We are already seeing that the challenges are going to be sustainability, a need for greater transparency and control of spend, which will have to be managed with a reduced workforce. www.edgevenues.com is able to support all stakeholders to achieve their goals.”

Kickstart marketing offer for venues

EDGE’s broadcast launched a Kickstart offer to venues, which can take a licence on the website to upgrade their listing for £1 a day. This will give them:

  • The opportunity to put themselves in front of Agents and Corporate Buyers
  • Unlimited engagement opportunities
  • Priority in search results
  • A toolkit to win business and build confidence in their venue
  • Data and insights – a personal sales dashboard

Venues can take advantage of this offer by signing up before the end of April and it will run for one year commencing on 1st May. Contact: Claudine@edgevenues.com

Events industry affected by Coronavirus – Major industry trade show cancelled for second year

EDGE Venues have just been made aware that IMEX Frankfurt 2021 has been cancelled for the second year.

It is a disappointing blow to the events industry and we would like to express our heartfelt thoughts to the IMEX team.

The IMEX event is a major industry trade show that brings together our industry to network and generate business.

Jacqui Kavanagh, CEO of Trinity EDGE Holdings Ltd comments ” I personally wish to thank Ray, Carina and all the great IMEX team for their continued support. Our industry is a community that supports our clients in an everchanging world. It is a shame that this key event for our industry has been cancelled.”

EDGE Venues will continue to publish articles on the coronavirus situation and how this affects the event industry.

Top Tips on how to make the most of EDGE Venues

It’s all in one place. EDGE is a powerful tool and will be used by meeting organisers to search for venues and to create proposals.  So we need to know what your venue can do, how it works, guideline pricing and a good insight into your facilities.

Help us to bring your venue to life. The more data you fill in the higher you will come up in relevant searches. This data will then provide the basis for the RFPs that will be sent to potential clients or agents. Your venue’s profile on EDGE will show users what you can offer, where you are located, how you look and how much they are likely to pay. This will streamline the RFP process as all clients and agents will be making an informed decision on who to contact therefore  ensuring you do not waste your time on RFP’s that will never convert.

There are two Engagement License opportunities: EDGE venues plus and Agency EDGE which are available to all venues via a monthly license fee. Please ask the EDGE Team for full details on 01780 484051.

How to make the most of your venue’s profile

Let us know where you are located and what you have to offer potential clients and agents. Here are some pointers to help you get to the heady heights of 100% profile:

  • The upload all data and photographs.  This is completely free of charge so make the most of this by adding images for all your meeting rooms and do not forget the image on your accommodation section.
  • Any bookings generated via the EDGE platform that are handled by the EDGE agency team or by other Agents are commissionable to the agent who has
  • placed the business with you.
  • The more information that you include in your venue profile the higher your data percentage will be. Below is a guideline of how to increase your percentage.
