Bordeaux has welcomed its first Hilton Garden Inn property. The hotel joins an existing nine Hilton properties in France.
The 166-guestroom hotel located only three tram stops from the iconic Place de la Bourse, along with the Opéra National, Cité du Vin and Bordeaux Métropole Aréna just ten minutes away and Bordeaux-Merignac Airport is also a short 25-minute drive from the hotel.
There is over 250 square meters of banquet space, make it an ideal riverside venue for hosting.
The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como will open in spring 2019 following a complete refurbishment of the current hotel’s facilities.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is taking over what is currently the CastaDiva Resort & Spa on Lake Como in Italy.
Located on the shores of Lake Como, and surrounded by lush botanic parkland, the resort comprises 76 rooms and suites housed in nine villas, dating from the 19th century. Almost all accommodation has lake views and the resort features four restaurants and bars, including a lakeside terrace for al fresco dining, a large spa with an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor floating pool on the lake.
There will also be meeting facilities in the grounds.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants are expanding the brand to Germany in 2023 with the opening of Kimpton Frankfurt, it will be located in a listed building of Junghofstrasse in Frankfurt’s city centre.
The luxury boutique hotel will feature 155 rooms, two large meeting rooms, an onsite gym and there are plans for a sky-bar and restaurant on the roof terrace.
This Kimpton hotel will join Kimpton De Witt in Amsterdam this hotel was the first Kimpton property to open outside of the Americas in May 2017.

The renovations have added an additional 8 bedrooms, bringing the hotel’s total up to 102 bedrooms, some with balconies that are elegant and comfortable. The hotel has also added a sauna, a 24-hour fitness suite and a lounge bar.
Along with this refurbishment, the hotel is introducing a new programme for corporate clients called Business Class. This will offer corporate clients negotiated prices, express check in and check out, express breakfast from 6am, work areas including a “business corner” with a computer, printer and scanner.

Two new properties in Morocco for the Barcelo Group
The Barceló Hotel Group has announced its two hotels in Morocco, located in Tánger and Agadir.
The hotel in Tánger has 138 rooms and is just a ten-minute walk from the historic centre and the property in Agadir, guests will find a fun resort located close to the popular promenade which runs along the coast.
The Tánger hotel also lends itself to business guests with MICE facilities.
In addition to these two properties will be the launch of Barceló Anfa Casablanca, which is set to open at the end of this year, taking the total rooms on offer throughout Morocco to 888 across five hotels.
A new 32,500sqm Expo Centre on the World Market Centre Las Vegas campus is set for construction after the owners of World Market Centre announced a partnership with the city of Las Vegas
The building will provide high tech exhibition and meeting space in the downtown area for corporate and private events, meetings and tradeshows.
It will also be used for the Las Vegas Market furniture, gift and home décor trade events that attract around 100,000 attendees annually.
The Expo Centre is expected to cost approximately $76 million (£56m) of which the city of Las Vegas will contribute $30m (£22m). Construction is set to begin within 18 months and will take about 18 months to complete.
The Riu Plaza will open next Summer as a 4* hotel. It is located on the Grand Via in the heart of the city centre of Madrid, in what was the Edificio España” building. The transfer from the airport is about 30 minutes and the hotel 20 metres from the Plaza España underground station.
Two floors of the hotel have been designed for 18 conference rooms, with flexible walls, the largest room has capacity for 800 people in theatre style.
This hotel will have 589 bedrooms and suites, several bars and restaurants. The top floors will be one of the hotel’s greatest attractions with a sky bar, roof terrace and swimming pool which have panoramic views of the city.
Hotel de Berri, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to the Starwood group is due to open 5 July 2018. The hotel is close to the Champs Elysees and in a private park, which is very rare in the centre of Paris.
There is one area of function space that can accommodate up to 70 people in theatre-style and has natural daylight, overlooking the park. The hotel has 75 bedrooms, of which 35 are suites, a spa and fitness centre.
Dolce Sitges, which was the first hotel in Spain to be specifically designed for the MICE market, continues to expand and has now introduced a new singular modular room with a capacity of up to 360 people.
The new Mediterrani room has flexible theatre-style set-up, with modern décor and floor-to- ceiling windows for plenty of natural light. The venue is near Sitges golf course, with a Spa, which is open 24 hours a day and includes eight treatment rooms, heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, steam bath, ice fountain and fitness room.
