The Villa Levens – now a fully restored and converted luxury hotel
The Villa Levens is a 140 year old Victorian country house hotel converted from former Nun’s retreat Brettargh Holt and is set in 14 acres and located just south of Kendal, Cumbria.
It has now been fully restored and converted in to a 22 spacious bedroomed hotel, including 2 suites and several luxurious staterooms.
Furnished to 5 star standard with a hall for ceremonies for up to 250 guests and smaller functions and a spectacular wedding pavilion.

The Art’otel London Hoxton will enjoy an ideal location in London’s trendy Hoxton, just a stone’s throw from the city’s Square Mile. Construction has started on the extension and reconfiguration of Park Plaza Riverbank London. The room count is expected to increase by an additional 184 rooms, taking the total number of rooms to 645. The extension is expected to be completed in 2015. Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel is one of London’s most iconic hotels, located in central London overlooking Hyde Park in Mayfair.
The venue is undergoing extensive refurbishment with 40 brand new suites and two royal suites now complete, the Lobby, Ballroom, Court Suite and 86 Park Lane meeting rooms are due to be completed next month.
The Park Room will then commence refurbishment in January 2016 and will be completed February 2016.
The London Marriott County Hall features some of the most iconic views in the capital, overlooking Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the hotel will soon be launching fully refurbished bedrooms. Add to this the characterful meeting spaces, Gillrays Steakhouse and Gin Bar and some of the best leisure facilities in London and the London Marriott County Hall is back on the map!
The Trump Turnberry Resort closes for refurbishment
Yesterday, the Trump Turnberry Resort in Scotland closed for a major renovation. The hotel will reopen on 1st June 2016 and the planned budget is £200 million to upgrade and update all bedrooms, public areas and meeting rooms. It will become a Luxury Collection property. The hotel was built as the first Golf Resort in the World in 1906 and has hosted four British Open Championships one the Ailsa Golf-course.
Opening of the Queen's Hotel Cheltenham – MGallery by Sofitel
The Queen’s has undergone major refurbishment and opened as a MGallery hotel on 3rd September 2015. It has one meeting room, the Regency Suite, for up to 100 people theatre-style and 84 bedrooms, including four suites.
The hotel is in the town and has a restaurant offering a menu with fresh produce sourced from local farms. The Sherbourne Pump, the hotel’s ornate bar, has a listed carved wooden bar, a gift from India to Lord Napier.
Elsewhere, the De Vere Venue Brigade located at London Bridge is a unique venue that offers a cook school team building opportunity as well as fantastic options for private dining with the chance to get involved in the cooking of elements of the dinner. Although the cook school is a unique element of the venue, there are also meeting spaces on site, with contemporary rooms to seat up to 60 delegates theatre style. It is a great venue to consider if you are looking for something slightly different with the unique twist of getting involved in the cooking.
Principal Hayley Hotels, which also includes the brands of De Vere Venues and Four Pillar Hotels, visited Trinity to update the team on their group and ongoing refurbishments which are being undertaken across many of their hotels. The George in Edinburgh has 42 newly refurbished bedrooms which were completed in June 2015, with the remaining bedrooms being all refurbished by January 2016. Refurbishments are also being undertaken in the reception area and the Kings Hall. Housed in a 1780s building, this upscale hotel is set among the shops of George Street and is an 8-minute walk from both Edinburgh Waverley train station and Edinburgh Castle.

The George in Edinburgh has 42 newly refurbished bedrooms which were completed in June 2015, with the remaining bedrooms being all refurbished by January 2016. Refurbishments are also being undertaken in the reception area and the Kings Hall.
