The Messe Innsbruck is currently being refurbished. The £22.7m upgrade is due to be completed by December 2011. There will be seven large halls plus six conference rooms.
The Hotel Due Torri in Verona has completed a refurbishment and now offers seven meeting rooms. The ground floor and lobby area have been given a more contemporary style and the Due Torri Lounge & Restaurant has been added.
The newly refurbished Wimbledon building in Lensbury’s Conference Centre has been re-opened, following 5 months of work and £2 million worth of investment. This major upgrade will bring the Wimbledon Building up to the same standard as the Twickenham Building which was refurbished in 2009 providing a conference facility with 32 contemporary meeting rooms.
Thackray Museum (grade II listed) in Leeds has celebrated its 150th year in operation by refurbishing its conference auditorium which can hold up to 130.
The Old Royal Naval College in London is refurbishing its Admiral’s House venue. The new 90 capacity Hardwick Room will be completed in early 2012 and day delegate rates start from £51 plus VAT
On the 4th May 2011 Peyton Events at the British Library celebrated the completion of the refurbishment of the conference centre with a launch party of over 200 guests. Part of the redecoration and upgrades are new digital signage, plasma wall, new seating in the 255 seated auditorium, renaming of the meeting rooms and a contemporary and modern designed foyer and networking area. The evening started with cocktails and canapés in the conference centre and a talk by Oliver Peyton, and for the first time a barbeque was prepared on the Terrace Restaurant, one of the newly available spaces.
