Royal Institute of British Architects North – New opening
From the success of Royal Institute of British Architect’s venue hire in London, RIBA have opened a new centre in Liverpool.

The new national architecture centre is on the historic Liverpool Waterfront, it is a contemporary and memorable design which is supposed to inspire creativity and to encourage exchange of knowledge. The venue offers multiple rooms for events that are very flexible, these are spread over 2 floors and can take up to 300 delegates. The venue is opening on Saturday 17th June 2017 and is already taking enquiries.

Situated just 2 miles outside of the bustling city centre, venuebirmingham is set in and around the historic redbrick buildings of the University of Birmingham. You can immerse your attendees in the rich history and culture of the university while still having all the comfort of a modern meeting space.


The University is planning a new hotel and conferencing facility on their main campus in Edgbaston, in order to enhance the experience of those visiting and staying at venuebirmingham. The facility is planned to open in 2018.

The 172-bed hotel and conference facility will be built near to the University’s existing conference facilities off Edgbaston Park Road, creating provision for 220 beds overall.

This week, the estate unveiled the results of a redevelopment of two floors of bedrooms, which had seen the expansion of some of the smaller bedrooms, taking the number of rooms down from 105 to 98.

Also included in the renovation programme have been the extensive redevelopment of the hotel’s Mitre restaurant, Stuart suite and spa – which now houses a new quiet room, nail bar and remodelled gym facilities – and a new lift for easier access to the bedrooms and spa.

Hastings Hotels runs six four and five star hotel in Northern Ireland, including Stormont Hotel and the 272 bedroom Europa Hotel in Belfast.

Germany Welcomed More Than 3 Million Events In 2016

Germany hosted 3.02 million events in 2016, a year-over-year increase of 18 percent, and 394 million event participants, up by less than 1 percent from 2015 figures, according to the annual Meeting & Event Barometer compiled by the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), the European Association of Event Centres and the German Convention Bureau.

Germany hosted 3.02 million events in 2016, a year-over-year increase of 18 percent, and 394 million event participants, up by less than 1 percent from 2015 figures, according to the annual Meeting & Event Barometer compiled by the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), the European Association of Event Centres and the German Convention Bureau.
